mx reigner is the auteur writer-director of multiple feature films currently in pre-production. Reigner’s first film carves out its own space in Reigner’s favorite genre, gothic sci-fi, kicking off a new franchise set in the Reigner Cinematic Universe (RCU), itself part of the larger Teapot Universe which contains all films by mx reigner.

Planned for a release in 2027, The Cabyn (Plaincat Entertainment Pictures), currently stands as the first example of a film shot for the vertical media format alongside a traditional theatrical release, and features spellbinding visions of Future Histories, the titular subject of Reigner’s PhD (and seminal philosophy book) that informs some of the onscreen depictions.

Reigner’s second feature film, with a planned 2029 release, yet again defines a new niche all its own, this time in horror. It is a genre borne of Reigner’s signature style and a rejection of conventions: psychedelic horror.

Written in conjunction with pre-PhD research defining Psychovisual Cinema, every aspect of the production lives and breathes the material onscreen. It is no ordinary horror film.
